Chief executive and board safeguarding champion: Liam Scully
Liam Scully brings more than 20 years of experience in football and community engagement, having risen through the ranks from an apprenticeship to become the chief executive of Lincoln City.
He joined the Imps in the summer of 2017, coinciding with the club's return to the EFL, and has since played a pivotal role in the club's continued growth, including a promotion to League One and an appearance in the 2020-21 play-off final.
As chief executive, Liam oversees the club's day-to-day operations on behalf of directors and investors. He leads a senior management team of four and supports a workforce of around 150 employees.
Before his tenure at Lincoln City, Liam spent 16 years at Doncaster Rovers and the wider Club Doncaster group. Starting as a PFA-funded apprentice, he progressed through various roles, including Foundation chief executive and chief operating officer of the Club Doncaster Group. His journey was recognised in 2007 when he was inducted into the National Apprenticeship Hall of Fame, celebrating his achievements in enterprise and business through an apprenticeship pathway.
Liam's dedication extends beyond Lincoln City, as he holds numerous voluntary roles, including the elected League One director on the EFL board, chair of EFL In The Community, chair of the City of Lincoln Place Board and trustee of the Lincoln City Foundation. He also is an ambassador for the Asian Sports Foundation and the XP Free School Trust. His professional achievements are underpinned with qualifications, including a postgraduate certificate in strategic leadership from the University of Chester, a diploma in leadership and management (ILM), and completion of the prestigious Kennedy Senior Leaders training programme.
