What position(s) did you use to play at Lincoln City?
Goalkeeper
Which seasons did you play for Lincoln City?
1994/1995 season
What is your favourite memory from playing for Lincoln City?
Think it was the first season of having a goalkeeper sub but unfortunately never got on the pitch. It was only shortly after I left Steve Sherwood became first sub keeper in the club's history after coming on for injured Andy Leaning. My favourite memory would be the FA Cup third round game against Crystal Palace. We lost 5-1 but it was just great to be involved against a Premiership club.
What did you enjoy most whilst living in the city of Lincoln?
I was actually based in Sheffield at the time, having come from Sheffield Wednesday. I loved the time I did spend the in Lincoln though.
What is the funniest recollection you have from a Lincoln City football match and why?
I can’t recall any stadium announcer actually getting my name right on matchday.
Have you got any 'embarrassing' anecdote from when you played for Lincoln City?
I’m going to be boring and say I can’t remember any.
Do you remain in contact with some of your Lincoln City team-mates or the Lincoln community?
Not really - I returned back to my home Island of Guernsey in the Channel Islands in 1995. My nephew in recent years was playing under Grant Brown at the CV academy - so caught up with Grant then across social media.
Who was the most talented player that you played with for Lincoln City? And, who was the most talented player that you played against?
Definitely Darren Huckerby, we played together predominantly in reserves at the time but his talent was there to see. Other guys I recall are David Putnam & David “Magic” Johnson on their day could be a matchwinner. A young Kevin Davies at Chesterfield when we played them was quite good - his career afterwards reflected that.
What are your thoughts on the growth of the city and the football club when you visit now?
I’ve not visited since 1995. I have always followed the club over the years and am planning a visit in near future. I believe we used to train at Ruston sports club playing fields, so I would love to see the great training facility the club have now and also actually see the ground because it was being developed when I left.
