Academy Recruitment and Scouting
Once you have been invited in to a trial, here is further guidance on what to expect and this will be given to both player and parents.
Lincoln City Academy ‘Emerging Talent’ programme
To underpin Academy recruitment for players who live within an hour of Lincoln, the academy run weekly coaching sessions for players aged Under 6s to Under 16s. The programme is closely aligned to the Academy, in terms of staffing, coaching syllabus and the host venue at Riseholme College.
The programme will also complement the existing academy player pathways, ensuring that we can provide an appropriate opportunity for every young player within Lincolnshire, from a participation level to the Elite Development Centre within the Foundation onto the Academy Emerging Talent Programme and the Academy. Our aim is to help every young player fulfil their potential and that is achieved by the Club’s Development Pyramid which transcends the Academy & Foundation.

Lincoln City Foundation Football Development Programme
We understand that whilst it is most young players dream to get into an academy not all players make it. As a club we can provide training for all players aged 3 years – 16 years via the clubs Football Development programme.
Sessions and Ages
The programme is split into four areas:
Mini Imps
Mini Imps are fun football sessions for 3-6 years olds to learn how to play football, make new friends and have as much fun as possible!
Development Centres
Our Development Centres are open to all young footballers who want to learn and improve their skill level. It is the first step on the Lincoln City player development pathway to our Advanced & Elite sessions.
Advanced and Elite Development
The Advanced and Elite Development Centre are invite only sessions for local under 7s-16s talented players to develop their game and progress through the Lincoln City player development pathway.

All our official scouts are listed below. Every scout representing Lincoln City has undergone an enhanced DBS check, will be in club kit and carry photographic ID.
