Lee Mitchell is focused on ensuring his side manage the occasion as the Imps prepare to take on Notts County at Meadow Lane.
City fell to a narrow defeat against Peterborough United last time out, and are hoping to return to winning ways against the Magpies.
Mitchell said: “Whenever you go to a stadium you’ve got to manage the occasion, manage the crowd, but I think we’ve got a lot of experience in that respect.
“It’s not such an overwhelming thing anymore for our players. We’ve just got to manage the occasion, and we’ve got to put in a performance worthy of being there.
“We did that at the LNER Stadium. I know we didn’t get the right result, but we did everything but win the game. I think it’ll be a good occasion and the game will do it justice.”
Mitchell’s side recorded a 6-2 victory the last time the two sides met at the LNER Stadium, but City’s head coach knows not to take County lightly.
He added: “They’re at home, they’re in their stadium, the crowd will be behind them.
“They’re desperate not to be in that relegation fight with only two games remaining. We’re desperate not to be dragged into that fight. Things can change for both sides on Sunday so there’s a lot to play for, and the players know that.
“There’s no under-estimating County, we’re not going there thinking that’s three points in the bag because that’s certainly not true. We’re going to have to work, graft, and roll our sleeves up to get the three points.”
