Tilly Fantom is hopeful that City can progress in the FAWNL Plate as they welcome Sheffield FC to Moorlands on Sunday 1 October.
After the Imps lost to Boldmere St Michaels in the determining round, City were then drawn against Sheffield in the first round of the plate.
Fantom said: “Everyone’s been working really hard in training week in, week out, and it’s a good competition to be in.
“Hopefully we can go far, it’ll be a tough game against Sheffield, but I think we’re prepared for it.”
Fantom is eager to get back out onto the pitch after City were defeated at Sutton Coldfield Town last time out.
She added: “I don’t think the game against Sutton Coldfield defines us as a team, it wasn’t our best performance.
“But against Sheffield, hopefully we can do a lot better and get back to ourselves and get the win.”
