Lee Mitchell is pleased to see his side picking up where they left off before Christmas.
Lucy Farrow, Chantelle Robinson and Rachael Howes were on the scoresheet as City secured three points to continue their winning league run into the new year.
Mitchell said: “We knew it was going to be a tough game and tough conditions. We know what Leafield is about. They are a battling side in the league.
“It was a game where we got all we expected. It was good from our point of view. We finished where we left off and that was the key for us.”
Mitchell believes the players' commitments and eagerness to train over the holidays was key to Sunday’s win.
He said: “Credit to the players, I said this in the changing room, we have trained every single week over christmas and that was down to the players.
“The numbers were there, they wanted to train and they showed up in all conditions, and we never skipped training. They’ve kept themselves ticking over the whole period.”
