Lincoln City Women have added another midfielder to their ranks by completing the signing of Kelly Poynton for the 23/24 season.

The box-to-box midfielder joins along with Olivia Standeven ahead of the Imps’ fourth pre-season friendly against Hull City on Sunday 6 August.

She said: “I’m very excited, it’s been good since I signed up – and it’s a really good bunch of girls so I’m really excited for the start of the season.

“As soon as I came here, I knew straight away that this is a good club, it’s competitive, and everyone works hard.”

City’s head coach Lee Mitchell added: “Kelly has great experience and step four and will know what to expect from the league.

“She has great vision and technical ability and will be a great addition to our midfield.”
