City completed the signing of exciting young midfielder JJ McKiernan on a four-year deal in July 2024.

He signed after an impressive League Two campaign with Morecambe.

McKiernan started his career at Watford and enjoyed a successful loan spell with Eastleigh in 2022/23, before joining Morecambe at the start of last season.

He had a storming 2023/24 campaign with the Shrimps, scoring seven times in 28 appearances, including netting a hat-trick against Colchester United.
