Mark joined the academy as the designated safeguarding officer in August 2023, having previously held a similar role at the Lincolnshire County FA. 

Mark was formerly a police officer serving 30 years in Lincolnshire. Mark also played Step 5 football and played for a Lincoln-based charity/Sunday league football team called Hughsie FC supporting the SADS UK charity. 

Previously, Mark coached grassroots football and Colts rugby at Lincoln Rugby Club and now coaches football, rugby and cricket at a Lincoln school, in addition to operating as a gym assistant at a local gym.
