In July 2024, City secured the signature of midfielder Dom Jefferies on a two-year deal with a further two-year club option.

After coming through the ranks at Newport County Jefferies spent time at Brentford B then signed for Gillingham in 2022 - where he was named the club’s Young Player of the Year award in his first season.

He clocked up 71 appearances in all competitions during this two-year tenure at Priestfield and will now join City following the expiration of his contract.
