The Imps are seeking a digital content manager to join the team at the LNER Stadium.

Location: LNER Stadium, Lincoln, LN5 8LD
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with flexible hours to accommodate attendance at home and away first-team fixtures

This role requires a proactive and innovative content manager to support the senior communications manager in driving the club’s communication, branding, and digital media efforts across all key directorates: football, finance & governance, growth & innovation, and the club’s Foundation.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of communication strategies, ensuring alignment with the club’s vision and values, and fostering engagement across internal and external audiences. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-impact campaigns that resonate with our fans, partners, and community. 

Key responsibilities:

Communications and content execution:

  • Deliver clear, consistent and engaging communication for diverse audiences, including fans, media, current and potential sponsors and partners. You will create messaging for press releases, internal communications, and digital platforms to ensure a unified brand voice. 
  • Create content across all channels—social media, website and press materials—ensuring high-quality, on-brand content that drives fan engagement and enhances the club’s reputation.
  • Manage social media on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the timely delivery of engaging and truly innovative content.
  • Create and schedule engaging content that drives community interaction and engagement, including posts, live updates, and interactive campaigns.
  • Support the fan engagement strategy by facilitating proactive communication with fans through social media and at live events, including but not limited to matchday. Support creation and delivery of initiatives that strengthen the fan base’s connection to the club
  • Serve as a point of contact for key stakeholders, including media representatives, fans, current and potential partners, ensuring communications are timely, effective, and aligned with the club’s values and objectives. 
  • Utilise analytics tools to measure the success of activities, providing insights to improve performance and targeting, and enhance future campaigns. Support data-driven decisions that optimise fan engagement, commercial growth and digital growth. 

Role requirements

  • Precision and attention to detail is vital, as is a constant curiosity for the best way to deliver excellence. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different platforms and audiences. 
  • Courageous and innovative content creation, platform management, and digital analytics. 
  • Experience in multimedia content creation, including video production and graphic design.
  • Able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders across departments. 
  • Juggling and prioritising multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Creative at problem solving with a proactive and curious approach to challenges and opportunities. 
  • An understanding of the dynamics of a fan-driven environment is highly desirable. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, digital media, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in communications, with a focus on social media management and digital campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communications tools, including content management systems (CMS), social media management platforms, and analytics software.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
