City entered their away game at Wrexham making three changes from the side that faced Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.
Bailey Cadamarteri, Erik Ring and Dom Jefferies replaced Lewis Montsma, Dylan Duffy and Ben House, who was suspended for one game after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, in the starting line-up.
Meanwhile, Adam Jackson returned to the substitutes' bench after an injury lay-off.
