Going into the game against Burton Albion, Sam Clucas was named in the starting XI to make his home debut for the Imps - 15 years, five months and 21 days since his first outing for the club.
Clucas made his first start since returning to City last weekend at Leyton Orient, and followed that up with a goalscoring cameo off the bench at Mansfield Town on Tuesday - his first senior goal for the club.
Head coach Michael Skubala said: “Sam’s earned this moment for his hard work getting up to speed - he’s looked great in training and did well in his first two games.
“He’s really passionate about the club and wants to do well, so he’ll be really keen to put on a performance.”
Dom Jefferies also returns to the starting XI as one of two changes by head coach Michael Skubala, with Lewis Montsma also coming onto the bench having been left out of the midweek squad as his return from an ACL injury continues to be managed.
Skubala added: “They have been in good form so will make it tough for us, but we will go after them as much as possible and be aggressive as the home team.”
