Skubala: Unity will get us through

Michael Slubala applauds supporters

City head coach Michael Skubala says the togetherness of his side will be key as they look to get back to winning ways on the pitch.

The Imps had plenty of attaching intent against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night, but were again frustrated by being unable to convert chances into goals.

Skubala said: “It’s a tough one to take. In the first half we were good and on the front foot. We looked like we had an attacking threat and were getting balls into the box.

"It’s just that moment that we were snatching at things, we have been nervous in and around the box where we need to be calmer.”

The City boss has no doubts over the squad’s togetherness during this difficult run of results,

He added: “We are working hard every day and we need to stick together and we know football changes quickly. Now we need to concentrate on turning round our form in the league.

“Football is a moments game, and the big moments that are hurting us at the minute. We know what we need in this transfer window. We just need to help the front line.

“We have got good young talent who we rate highly, but we're looking for a bit more experience up there to help them."
