Head coach Michael Skubala has signed a new deal, with the new contract running until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Skubala joined City in November 2023, and under his guidance the Imps enjoyed a great run which almost saw his side claim a play-off spot.
With further additions to the club’s backroom staff, and investment on the pitch this summer, Skubala believes strong foundations are in place to continue the recent growth on the pitch.
He said: “I’m really pleased to have signed this extension at a really well-run club with everything set up to keep moving forward.
“The heartbeat of a club are the players and fans, it’s my job to connect them and there’s a real bond been built over the time I’ve been here. It’s important to have the backing of the fans and it can make a difference on the pitch - and if the fans keep backing the team, as they have home and away, then the club is in a good spot.
“League One will be tough this season as we know some big clubs have come into the division, but while recognising the challenges we’re also confident of being competitive.”
Chief executive Liam Scully added: “This is a structure which has been built to work for Lincoln City Football Club but Michael has been a key component in both the design of our coaching team and the recruitment strategy, and how we bring everyone in the team together in order for us to achieve success.
“What's been really clear since we've been working together is that Michael is the right captain of the ship for what we're looking to achieve. So it was really important that we gave him and his family the further stability that he's earned and deserved."
