Head coach Michael Skubala praised a professional performance as City ran out 4-0 winners at Chesham United in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.
Strikes from Jack Moylan, Jovon Makama and Conor McGrandles, in addition to an own goal, secured City a place in the second round, where they will travel to face Crawley Town on the weekend of 30 November.
Skubala said: "It's a real challenge whenever you come away to a lower league club, you have to be right mentally and make sure you do a really professional job with and without the ball. In the first ten minutes they started really brightly and we had to win second balls.
"Ultimately it's about controlling as much as you can control within a game, and I felt we did well on the night.
"We have some promising young talent at the club, who we work hard with, and they were professional throughout, but I thought Paudie O'Connor and Tendayi Darikwa were magnificent. It was a very professional job for different reasons from different players."
He added: "All our strikers are playing really well at the moment and have a threat, We have some real talent up there and they're sharing the goals at the moment, which I quite like."
