Erik Ring feels he is settling into his new side after joining the Imps in the summer.
The Swede made his debut against Chesterfield in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, and says he has enjoyed his first few weeks with the team.
He said: “It has been good, I’ve been excited to make my debut and I feel I'm getting more settled. I’m happy I was able to get some minutes and hopefully I can build on this.
“I lasted 60 minutes, and hopefully next game I can last more. It’s a build-up period but I’m going in the right direction.”
The Imps will now prepare for the next week after their match against Northampton Town was postponed due to international call-ups.
Ring added: “We’ll train a lot this week which is good, because then I can learn about the system and my team-mates more, and now I’m looking forward to training and getting better.
“It’s a good league and we’re a young side that has a lot of ambition. It’s a great project, and the team finished high in the league last season and we want to keep building on that.”
