Sam Tillen was delighted with his side’s performance as they secured an impressive win against Port Vale.
The young Imps put in a dominant display against the Valiants, winning the game 4-1 to extend their unbeaten run in the league to four games and move up to fourth in the Youth Alliance.
Tillen said: “It was a really positive performance. We dominated proceedings from the outset and looked a real threat in our attacking play.
“It felt like this result had been coming, our performances have been consistently good but we haven’t been clinical enough. However, on Saturday it really seemed to click and the boys got their rewards for their efforts.”
Tillen was pleased to see his side take their chances with goals coming from Zane Okoro, Dakara Wifa, Dan Vanderpuye and Carter Ford.
He added: “It was great that our attacking trio of Zane, Dakara and Dan all scored and they were a persistent thorn in the Port Vale’s side all afternoon.
“Carter took his goal very well and Denny Oliver assisted three goals with some excellent passing and. I thought he managed the game exceptionally.”
