Conor McGrandles praised the attacking pressure the Imps had against Wycombe Wanderers, but wants City to be more ruthless.
Despite defeat the Imps built up a lot of pressure throughout the 90 minutes and were ultimately unfortunate to come out empty-handed.
He said: "At the start of the second half, it felt like we had them penned in for 15-20 minutes. We had Housey’s header and Dylan’s long-range strike.
"We know we can do a lot better in the final third, and we need to make the most of those spells in games.”
The Scotsman was also full of praise for wing-back Tendayi Darikwa after he scored a brace against the Chairboys.
He said: "He’s great both defending and attacking, he can do it all. I’m really glad for him to get his two goals, obviously he will be disappointed that it has not led to a victory.
"He’s been a great signing, great around the place, he’s a great person as well.”
