Match-winning Moylan hails squad depth

Jack Moylan feels City have the depth to cope with the rigorous grind of the Sky Bet League One season following his match-winning involvement against Stevenage.

The Irish midfielder coolly tucked away the penalty which ultimately separated the two sides as the Imps made it three wins from four to start the campaign.

Moylan said: “Everyone’s pushing each other. JJ comes on, wins the penalty that wins us the game proving how important it is to have a big squad.

“You’ve got other lads that also compete to start if they’re fully fit, it’s a proper challenge.

“It showed around October time last season not having enough numbers, but we’re a proper squad now.”

It was a game of few chances at the Lamex Stadium, but Moylan knew that his side would be in for a battle against Boro.

He continued: “It was exactly what we expected from the game, everyone knows that it’s never going to be easy coming here, you might get a half-chance and that’s all you need to win the game.

“At the start of the season we would’ve taken three wins from four. Those matches are done now though, and it’s a long, long season so we’ve got to keep winning games.”
