City take on Peterborough United at the LNER Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm KO), looking to build on last week's victory at Northampton Town.
Read what head coach Michael Skubala and new signing James Collins had to say ahead of the game and catch up on all the important match information.
Michael Skubala:
"We want James Collins to help the youngsters, because we are young on the top line, but first and foremost, he is here to win football matches and score goals.
"It shows how tough the league is this season. Peterborough last season were in the play-offs. They haven’t changed much in their style. They’ve got some real big threats. They’re a good team that have bought in some good players in recently.
"But we are at home, and like all games we want to take the game to them and try and get the three points."
James Collins:
“My first week of training has been really good. It’s been positive, I have had some good time on the grass, getting to know the lads. Training has looked really sharp, so I’m really looking forward to the weekend.
"League One is a very tough league this year. Last season I thought it was quite difficult, but the teams that have come down and the teams that have come up from League Two have made it really competitive.
"Peterborough were a good side last year, and we had two good games against them. They’re not doing as well this season, but they are still very threatening on the counterattack, so we won’t be able to take the game lightly.”
A look at the opposition:
After reaching the play-offs in the last two seasons, the Posh presently find themselves in 19th place in Sky Bet League One.
Despite their present position, Peterborough have scored the third most goals in League One this season (42) only behind Wycombe Wanderers and Birmingham City. Last time out, Posh were denied victory by a last-minute equaliser from Exeter’s Millenic Alli in a 1-1 draw.
