Match preview | Imps v Exeter City

A match preview graphic for Lincoln City v Exeter City

City will look to add to their nine goals in their last two home games when Exeter City visit the LNER Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm KO).

Read what head coach Michael Skubala and midfielder Dom Jefferies had to say ahead of the fixture, as well as catch up on all the important match information.

Michael Skubala:

“We've had a ‘free’ week, which has allowed us some important time on the training ground with the players to reemphasise some of our key principles.

“Exeter have had that same benefit as well, so we know it will be another good challenge for us on Saturday.

“From our point of view, we’ve worked really hard throughout the week and we’ll be looking to put on another positive performance in front of our own fans.”

Dom Jefferies:

“There are so many games throughout the year, so not having a midweek game has been really beneficial for us because we’ve been able to spend some time on the training ground.

“The lads are all raring to go for Saturday’s game against Exeter and we want to get another positive result.

“We’re playing with creative freedom and expressing ourselves in the final third, it worked well for us against Bristol Rovers and we want to replicate it in this game.”

A look at the opposition:

Exeter City currently find themselves 16th in Sky Bet League One, with Gary Caldwell's side losing just one of their last seven games.

Last time out, the Grecians picked up a point on the road at Rotherham United, thanks to an equaliser from defender Alex Hartridge just before the hour mark in a 1-1 draw.

The reverse fixture back in November saw a goalless draw at St James Park, with Exeter midfielder Ryan Woods sent off in added time.

Form: DDWWD
