Match guide | Imps v Barnsley

A graphic featuring the Lincoln City and Barnsley FC logos

Ahead of the visit of Barnsley on Saturday, we are able to provide supporters with a guide to plan your visit to the LNER Stadium.

Lincoln Pride & road closures

Lincoln Pride takes place on Saturday, with some roads closed in the city centre around Tentercroft Street from 12noon-2pm.Tentercroft Street Car Park is also unavailable due to the event.

Tentercroft Street will be closed from the High Street to Pelham Bridge, with the Pride parade travelling from Guildhall Street down the pedestrianised High Street before turning into Tentercroft Street.

This is likely to mean significant delays around the centre of Lincoln to the north of the LNER Stadium. We strongly advise allowing more time for your journey and trying to arrive at the stadium from the south or east of the city if possible.

University of Lincoln Fan Village

The University of Lincoln Fan Village is open from 12noon and perfect for those who want to avoid the traffic and get down to the LNER Stadium early. There are some fantastic locally-sourced food options - with R&N catering, William Wood burgers and donuts, Curry Jacks, Fat Sam's smash burgers, Coddy’s Sweets and Coddy’s ice cream van all on site.

Tipsy Imp will provide a wide range of premium beers and ciders. A variety of soft drinks are also available across the Fan Village.

The Imps retail unit provides supporters the opportunity to kit themselves out with our home, away and third kit as well as a range of other exciting items.

The Red Imps Community Trust pod features an exhibition about Imps legend Keith Alexander. As well as Trust representatives who are happy to chat about the role they play at the club, teamsheets can be purchased from the pod as well as collectible programmes and memorabilia - with donations raising money for Lincoln City Foundation.

Our equality partner, Her Game Too, will have a stand in the Fan Village. Head over there and say hello the club ambassador, Dominique, to learn all about the important work which Her Game Too do to promote inclusivity in the sport. There is also a signed Her Game Too shirt up for grabs, so make sure that you are in with the chance to win it.

Improved catering facilities

Significant investment has allowed us to install self-order kiosks in the Red Imps Bar in the GBM Stand. These can be ordered for immediate collection or for half-time.

The Greenlinc Renewables Stand has 4x additional catering service points for home supporters which were introduced this summer. There will also be an Industrial Street Food unit in the north-east corner.

This match also sees us open a brand-new catering point in the away end.

Family activities

There are free children's football sessions on the 3G pitch opposite the Greenlinc Renewables Stand from 12.30pm every Saturday - there is no need to book on, simply turn up from 12.30pm.

There will also be an inflatable football challenge in the University of Lincoln Fan Village. There will be games such as table tennis and Fifa in the Co-Op Community Hub - the new home of all the activities previously found in Poacher's Den.

Supporter liaison officers

Our SLO team will be around the stadium before and during the game, look out for them or our 'Here To Help' team - they will all be clearly identified. We have a matchday familiarisation opportunity for any supporters who are new to the stadium - this is free and there is no need to sign up, simply head to the ticket office for 1.30pm.

Audio descriptive commentary

The Imps provide a free audio descriptive commentary service for fans with visual impairments. Headsets and receivers can be collected from the ticket office before the game (from the SLO point 12noon-2pm then from the ticket office desks).

Fans are encouraged to bring their own headphones where possible to minimise the amount of equipment needed to be shared - the receivers have a standard aux output.

Anyone with questions about the service are asked to contact disability liaison officer Heidi Langham on dlo@theredimps.com.

Teamsheet

Teamsheets cost just 50p and are available in the ticket office and the Red Imps Community Trust stand in the University of Lincoln Fan Village. We expect these to be available from around 2.15pm.
