City have made several appointments over the close season to strengthen the sporting and business operations functions within the Imps.
David Bridges returns to the club as assistant head coach. David, who was head of coaching in our academy from 2018 until 2021, re-joins the Imps from the Professional Footballers' Association where he has been working as a coach developer helping the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Granit Xhaka, Jermain Defoe and Jack Wilshere complete their coaching badges.
His arrival completes the coaching structure for 2024/25, with David working alongside fellow assistant head coach Tom Shaw and first-team goalkeeper and set-piece coach Scott Fry to support head coach Michael Skubala.
Josh Snowden is now embedded in the role of head of sport science, having joined towards the very end of the 2023/24 season. Many Imps fans would have heard from Josh in his recent BBC Radio Lincolnshire appearance alongside Tom Shaw, from the pre-season camp in Spain.
Jack Coles will join as head of recruitment from Coventry City as we strengthen our talent ID, scouting and recruitment department, with a further resource still to be added to specialise in data science.
George Bush has also joined us as first-team performance analyst with a further addition arriving in the coming weeks to lead the performance analysis department. The incoming head of performance analysis is currently in the final stages of serving his notice to their current employers.
As part of some minor restructuring long-standing chief scout Marc Tracy will also take on the role of loans manager where he will closely monitor City's young professional players out on loan.
As per the previous announcement, Jon Pepper has assumed the role of technical director for Lincoln City Women alongside his role with the Academy, with this Calum Oakenfold has also stepped up to become head of Academy and coaching.
As part of this structure, Jon has overseen the integration of Lincoln City Women into the Academy structure, providing greater access to support and facilities than at any time in the club's history.
There are also new faces at the LNER Stadium, with Jason Futers joining as chief growth & innovation officer.
Jason, who joins the Imps after a successful career in risk and technology across a number of start-up businesses, is tasked with finding new ways to work with existing and new partners along with developing the innovation arm within Lincoln City FC.
Tom Hall becomes director of finance, having stepped up from his previous role as head of finance.
Matt Murgett takes on an expanded role as head of governance encompassing safeguarding and equality as well as football administration for the Academy.
City’s chief executive Liam Scully said: “The restructuring and recruitment across the sporting and business operations side of the club is an important step forward as we continue to grow the football club on and off the field.
“We are incredibly excited and humbled at the quality of people we have been able to attract to the club, which speaks volumes for our ambition and commitment to continued growth.
“It has also been great to reward and support the growth of colleagues who have been with us for several years. We pride ourselves on being a place where people can come and develop as people and as professionals, and these changes are exciting for Lincoln City Football Club as well as the people involved.
“I speak on behalf of the rest of the team in saying we look forward to collectively working together, delivering a club that the fans and community can continue to be proud of.”
