Dom Jefferies was pleased with City’s defensive solidity in the 0-0 draw against Wigan Athletic.
The Imps kept their second clean sheet of the season against the Lactics with Jefferies playing on the left side of defence.
He said: “We kept them at bay really, we knew what they were going to do. I can’t remember conceding many chances it was just about getting down the other end and creating our own."
City extended their unbeaten to four games in League One and Jefferies wants to build on the performance.
“It was always going to be a tough game, we knew before what it was going to be like. In the first half we could’ve been more aggressive but second half we were much better and created a lot more.
“We’re all growing, a lot of us are new players. We’ll only get better from here.”
