City pay tribute to an iconic kit worn in the early 1980s with the design of the home shirt which will be on display throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
The kit features the Imps’ red and white colours, with the red canvas of the shirt intersected by white pinstripes. On the shoulders the pattern is reversed with a black trim on the neck and arms of the shirt.
It is modelled on the kit worn by City from 1983 until 1985, as a tribute both to the late Colin Murphy who was manager during that time and to those lost in the Valley Parade Disaster.
The same design kit, although in away blue colours, was worn by City on that day - with a tribute to the 56 who lost their lives on the back of the shirt.
It aligns with the 40th anniversary of the disaster, which will fall at the end of the 24/25 season.
The shirt also sees the club’s return to a badge worn by the Imps in the 1980s and 90s after supporters voted overwhelmingly in favour of a change.
Branston remain as the home kit’s main sponsor, with Allen Signs once again featured on the back of the shirt and Easy Heat Pumps on a sleeve.
The new shirt can be purchased from the club store at the LNER Stadium which is open six days a week from 10am-5pm. Click here to secure your shirt now.
