City rounded out their 2024 home campaign with a dominant display against Reading.
Bailey Cadamarteri and Reeco Hackett were on the scoresheet for the Imps as they returned to winning ways at the LNER Stadium.
Sean Roughan picked the ball up from 25 yards and smashed an effort towards goal but it was tipped over by Joel Pereira.
Lewis Montsma came forward from the back finding Tendayi Darikwa on the right but his dangerous ball was collected by Pereira.
A Roughan ball into the box caused issues for the Reading defence and was turned home by Bailey Cadamarteri to give the Imps an early lead.
Montsma fired a powerful drive towards goal after Hackett won a free-kick on the left but it was smothered by Pereira.
The visitors were reduced t0 10 men when Louie Holzman was given a straight red card for pulling down a through on goal Ben House.
City started well in the second half, with House hitting the post after some excellent work by Makama down the right.
A ball into the box from Conor McGrandles found House but his header was straight at Pereira.
Makama was once again causing problems down the right jinxing past Andre Garcia before having his goal bound effort blocked.
House hit the post once again after driving past the Reading defenders and playing a one-two with Hackett.
Hackett doubled City’s lead on the 72 minute mark with a well placed finish after a defence splitting ball from Montsma.
