City finished pre-season with a 2-1 win against Arsenal U21 at the LNER Stadium.
Lewis Montsma and Ben House helped the Imps come from behind as City rounded off their preparations ahead of the 24/25 season.
Tom Bayliss had his shot blocked after some neat link up play between Tendayi Darikwa and Jovon Makama on the right hand side.
Ismeal Kabia went closest in the first 20 minutes, having his shot saved onto the post by George Wickens before the danger was cleared by a City defender.
The next Arsenal attack came down the left, Nathan Butler-Oyedeji’s ball into the box was headed over by Khayon Edwards.
Dylan Duffy’s cross into the box caused issues for Brian Okonkwo but the Arsenal goalkeeper eventually secured the ball before a City attacker could pounce.
JJ McKiernan was found in space on the right hand side by Ethan Erhahon before driving forward and having his long range effort blocked.
Tom Hamer’s long throw into the box bounced back out to Tom Bayliss, who fired his shot over the bar.
After getting through on goal Edwards had his shot saved from Wickens in the City goal. The Imps went straight up the other end, winning a corner - Paudie O’Connor’s header was kept out at point blank range by Okonkwo.
Duffy was the next City player to go close, firing his powerful effort just wide of the post from the edge of the area.
Butler-Oyedeji was free down the left hand side, getting through one-on-one with Wickens who saved.
Sarah Oulad M’Hand opened the scoring for Arsenal just shy of the hour mark, striking home from around 35 yards out.
Arsenal weren’t ahead for long, just moments after coming on Montsma levelled proceedings with a smart header past Okonkwo and into an empty net.
House then put the Imps into the lead, smashing the ball past Okonkwo after an excellent reverse ball from Makama.
Makama stung the gloves of the Arsenal keeper after turning his defender and firing a shot towards goal on the edge of the area.
Rob Street and Freddie Draper linked up well up front before finding Jack Moylan, who fired his effort over the bar.
Dom Jefferies put a teasing ball into the box, but Draper’s powerful header was kept out by the keeper - leaving the Imps to settle for a 2-1 victory.
