City made it four unbeaten in Sky Bet League One with a goalless draw against Wigan Athletic.
Joe Hugill had the first effort of the game, firing high and wide of Zach Jeacock’s goal.
Bailey Cadamarteri won the first corner of the match, driving in from the right hand side before his cross into the area was deflected behind by a Wigan defender. The following corner was aimed towards Paudie O’Connor but was cleared.
Dom Jefferies and Tom Bayliss were involved in a neat piece of play from the Imps down the right but the latter’s ball into the box was cleared away before it could reach Ben House.
Tendayi Darikwa had an attempt saved by Sam Tickle after he was found in space on the right with a diagonal ball.
After coming off the bench, Jack Moylan had an effort kept out by Tickle following a drive down the left. Moylan was impressing in the middle and had another effort not long after, striking from range but the attempt was smothered by Tickle.
A ball from Jefferies flashed across the face of goal but a City player couldn’t quite get a touch to turn it home.
JJ McKiernan won the Imps a corner after driving in from the right hand side but the following delivery was punched away by Tickle.
Erik Ring had an effort from the right hand side but Tickle got down well to collect.
