Tendayi Darikwa was happy to get more minutes as City moved closer to the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Imps continued preparations for the new season with a behind closed doors friendly against Norwich U21, where Darikwa featured in the 2-1 win at the Lotus Training Centre.
He said: “It was another good workout. It’s important to get more minutes into everyone before the final pre-season game at the weekend.”
After signing for the Imps earlier this summer Darikwa is now feeling settled within the group and is raring to get stuck into the Sky Bet League One season.
He added: “It’s been brilliant, I’m really enjoying it. Everyone has been welcoming from the first day. It’s a young squad but everyone’s close and I’m happy to be part of it.
“It’s an exciting time for the football club going into a new season with some new faces, and everyone’s confident about what we can do this season.
“Hopefully there will be a good turnout from the away support at Burton Albion and we can start the season off well.”
