City and the club’s Foundation will continue to offer their Attendance4Attendance scheme throughout the course of the 2024/25 campaign.
The message at the heart of Attendance4Attendance is to reward dedication to education with the thrill of witnessing the Imps at the LNER Stadium.
For many youngsters the prospect of cheering on their local heroes from the stands serves as a compelling incentive to prioritise attendance and engagement in their studies.
Schools which took part in the launch scheme during 2023/24 reported increased attendance.
Ermine Primary Academy's vice principal Jenna Richards said: “It's been really nice to have a way to remind them about attendance and the reward that is coming all term. The children eligible increased from one term to the next.
“Children attending the matches were really enthused about what they had attended and sought me out to give me the match run downs.”
One pupil’s parent from last season’s programme said: “I wanted to thank the Imps for taking part in a scheme for my daughter’s school.
“It was so nice she won a ticket and got to try something new. I attended with my daughter, and this was our first live football match, so it was a treat and we won!
“We felt very safe in the Rilmac Stand, it was refreshing to see a choice of food too.”
The goal is to help schools achieve attendance targets each half-term by rewarding them with complimentary tickets to selected City fixtures.
In addition, your school will receive gold memberships for every home League One fixture for the 24/25 season.
These memberships are transferable and can also be used to recognise improvements in behaviour, attitude, or learning - and can also be given to staff.
City's chief executive Liam Scully also explained why the club have decided to launch this programme for yet another season.
He said “Attendance4Attendance is a vital community initiative designed to support our education leaders in recognising and rewarding positive school attendance.
“We aim to give young fans, both new and existing, the opportunity to see their local team multiple times during the season.
“Through this initiative, we look forward to welcoming many new members into the Lincoln City family. This program aligns with our club’s ambitions and underlines our commitment to supporting the local education system.”
The impact of this program extends far beyond the confines of the football pitch. By nurturing a culture of regular attendance and active participation, Attendance4Attendance lays the groundwork for future success, instilling vital life skills such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork in the hearts of young learners.
