Tom Bayliss is looking to build on the 5-1 win over Peterborough United after he scored his first goal for the club.
The City midfielder struck a stunning free-kick as the Imps impressed against Posh, claiming a second straight three points.
He said: “With the three points against Northampton we needed to just get over the line to re-instill that we were doing alright, and then we just blew Peterborough away. Let’s build on this now and hopefully it can go into Blackpool and Wigan.”
Bayliss found the top corner from outside the box after 33 minutes to double the Imps' lead. He said: “It’s always nice. I’ve scored one of them in my career before, but I think that one was a bit better. It was very nice to see it go in, especially as my first goal for Lincoln.
"We can score from our set-pieces. It’s a big part of our game. We work hard so it was nice to see it come off.”
City’s No.8 was keen to capitalise on City’s home advantage, with a crowd of more than 10,000 at the LNER Stadium on Saturday.
He added: “We really felt we could get on top of them, especially at home. We thought if we could get a good start that we would win.
“We don’t let teams settle. We like to get at teams and win the ball up in high areas and when you did it gives you a chance to score goals. We want to be on that front foot and that really showed.”
