City have offered three academy players a place on the scholarship programme which will see them step up their development progression.
Winger Josh Kennealey, midfielder Kian Sagoo and defender Lewy Oliver have all signed onto the programme which will now see them complete around 30 hours a week spread across the training pitch, gym and classroom.
The scholarship programme for the young Imps starts after finishing their GCSE studies and provides the platform to continue their development in a more professional setting.
Jon Pepper, City’s head of academy, said: "We are really pleased to be able to offer scholarships to three of our current U15 players Josh Kennealey, Kian Sagoo and Lewy Oliver.
“All three players have consistently shown high levels of performance this season against some very strong opposition, often against older players and have coped with many different challenges along the way.
“These decisions show our commitment to producing homegrown players from within our Academy and offering opportunities for local players.”
