Winning on and off the pitch

City and the Foundation are collaborating to host a ‘Winning on and off the pitch’ event on Tuesday 5 March to inform primary schools on how the football club can help engage students and how both sectors can learn from each other.

Following on from the launch of City’s transformative Attendance4Attendance programme, this event will give primary schools across the county an even clearer insight on how they can be supported by City and the Foundation.

Hosted in the Branston Legends Lounge from 3-5pm, the chief executive officer of the football club Liam Scully and chief executive officer of the Foundation Martin Hickerton will both speak about what success looks like at a modern football club.

The Foundation’s schools team will also facilitate a workshop to unpack current ongoing issues in primary schools and what solutions and aids the football club can provide to alleviate these problems.

Partner schools will also detail how they have been helped by the Imps and how beneficial it has been to the pupils at their institutions.

Refreshments will be available along with an optional tour of the LNER Stadium following the conclusion of the afternoon’s proceedings.
