Ethan Erhahon has praised the team spirit which has seen City to a sixth match unbeaten in Sky Bet League One.
The Imps extended their run at Charlton Athletic following Reeco Hackett’s first-half strike and some resolute defending late on in the game at The Valley.
Erhahon said: “It’s a big club regardless of the league position, so when you come to places like this, chances might be limited. Reeco Hackett took his goal really well and it was a great strike.
“We defended well which is one of our strong points as a team, and I think you’ve seen that over the last few games. We stick together and have a good unit at the back.
“There’s a real team spirit here from the coaching staff to the players. We are a really tight group with a real mix of experience who help each other during tough times.
Erhahon is now hoping to continue building on the current form as he looks ahead to Saturday’s fixture against Exeter City at the LNER Stadium.
He added: “We’ll take positivity from seeing that last 20 minute spell out away from home at Charlton, and hopefully in our next game we can put the game to bed earlier.”
“I think that’s six games unbeaten now. We had the two tough games at home against Derby and Peterborough which we drew, so we are getting there.
“When I came to Lincoln last season it was a real fortress. We want to get back to that as a team and it’s something we talk about in the group.”
