Supporters who wish to pay their respects to Doreen Ashton are invited to join club employees at the LNER Stadium as she takes her final journey.
Doreen’s funeral will take place at St Peter at Gowts Church on the morning of Monday 25 September, and she will be taken around the home of her beloved Imps one final time before being laid to rest.
Club employees will provide a guard of honour in front of the SRP Stand at the LNER Stadium as the funeral cortege passes through at around 10.50am.
The procession will come down Sincil Bank, passing behind the GBM Stand, before being driven behind the Rilmac Stand and exit the footprint via Cross Street.
Anyone who wishes to join club staff as they say goodbye to Doreen, a much-loved figure around the club thanks to her many decades of volunteer service, are welcome to do so.
Parking will be available in the Stacey West Car Park, both for those joining us for the guard of honour or for people attending the funeral itself.
