Mark Kennedy is excited for his side to take on West Ham United in front of a packed out LNER Stadium in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
It is the first time City have been drawn at home in the Carabao Cup during Kennedy’s tenure, and the Imps’ head coach is hoping it’ll be a great occasion.
He said: “It’s really pleasing for us that we’ve got a home tie. We’ve got an incredible crowd, and it’ll be absolutely rocking like it always is.
“The impact the crowd play, and the effect they have on the game is magic, so it should be a really buoyant night.”
West Ham are expected to present a tough test for City, with Kennedy fully aware of the challenge his side will face.
He added: “At the end of the day they’re an outstanding team, a very, very good Premier League side with David Moyes as their manager.
“They’ve got a huge history, and we’re going to have a full house. Hopefully it’ll be a great night for all involved.”
