City have completed the signing of striker Jack Vale who joins the club on a season-long loan from Blackburn Rovers.
The 22-year-old made his professional debut for Rovers in 2020 and has since gone on to play 25 times in all competitions for the Lancashire-based side.
Vale also joins the club with international experience under his belt having represented Wales at U17, U19 and U21 levels.
Jez George, City’s director of football, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured a player of Jack's calibre at the end of the transfer window.
“Jack is recovering from a hamstring injury so we will need to be patient, but we are signing him for the whole season not just September.
“We know that we have a really good player who will add to our squad and create even greater competition for places at the top end of the pitch.”
The move is subject to EFL approval.
