The Imps have welcomed Samaritans on board as a new bronze partner for the 23/24 season.
Suicide is a global health issue that is often not discussed openly, leading to stigma and shame for those affected. It's important to show care and support by listening without judgement and encourage people to access the support they need, and because of this, everyone at the Imps are proud to welcome Samaritans on board to the club as bronze partners.
Samaritans will be working in close partnership with City, through sponsorship support from the LNER Customer & Community Investment Fund. This means that during the season, supporters will see Samaritans contact details on the digital advertising boards, and on posters in parts of the ground and Samaritans will be at the LNER Stadium at some matches during the campaign.
Lincoln Samaritans, said: “Lincoln is such a special place for Samaritans, with our founder having worked in Lincoln and his idea of the charity being formulated whilst he was in Lincoln.
“We have grown to be a leading national charity for those struggling with difficult and overwhelming emotions, and as we celebrate our 70th year, we have over 200 branches throughout the country with over 22,000 amazing volunteers at the heart of local communities, working with hospitals, delivering training, providing support and helping people turn their lives around as part of our suicide prevention work.
“We invite you to join us on our journey, by supporting Samaritans whether as part of our amazing family of volunteers or as individuals or organisations who support us – together we can continue providing emotiomal support to people when they need it most.”
Adam Chantrey, City’s head of commercial, said: “We are so pleased to be working with such a fantastic organisation who continue to work tirelessly helping people that need some support.
