Jack Burroughs praised the fight City showed to come back from a half-time deficit to draw with Carlisle United.
Ethan Hamilton’s long-range stunner earned the Imps a point after they fell behind to Luke Plange’s early goal.
Burroughs said: “We weren’t good enough in the first half but we showed good fight to come out in the second half and impose our game on them.
“We can take the positives from how we played in the second half.”
Despite not picking up maximum points, City are now eight unbeaten in all competitions after their point with the Cumbrians.
He added: “When you’re at home, especially with the way we’ve started here, we came into the game expecting to play better, and hoping to get a better result.
“But it’s not a loss, and we’re eight unbeaten now so that’s a positive.”
