Martin Skubala was impressed with the desire his side showed as they came from 2-1 down late on to clinch a point against Barnsley.
TJ Eyoma’s late strike from a corner ensured the Imps a share of the spoils after two second-half goals had put the Tykes ahead.
Skubala said: “The lads were immense. The energy we showed at the end to go and get that point was amazing.
“I can’t reiterate enough how hard that last 20 minutes was after not having the ball for long periods.
“The enthusiasm, energy and desire the team showed in those last moments was great.”
Skubala also praised the City supporters as he took to the LNER Stadium touchline for the first time since joining the Imps.
He added: “I think the atmosphere was great, and I think the fans helped us push the game.
“They back us all game, but especially in those last minutes where they got behind the team, you could really feel it.”
