Ethan Hamilton says he and his team-mates are growing in belief as they get to work under new head coach Michael Skubala.
The midfielder struck the winning goal in Tuesday’s 1-0 win at Leyton Orient, and felt his side took control of the second half after some tactical changes from the new man in charge.
Hamilton said: “We grew in belief, we had good spells and managed to play through them at times.
“You always feel with the players we’ve got that we can grow into games, and if we keep going then a chance will come.
“It did and it was nice to see it go in the back of the net and give the supporters something to go home happy about - they came down in their numbers again and it’s really appreciated by all the lads.”
The Scotsman has enjoyed his first week working with Skubala - one of the most highly-rated young coaches in the country.
He added: “He wants us to be brave and take the handbrake off. It’ll take time to really see his team but you’ve already seen bits of it in the two games.
“He’s really methodical in the way he works and wants to implement his ideas, it is very exciting for us.”
