Lee Mitchell was pleased to draw the 2022/23 season to an end in style as Sunday's victory over Long Eaton United extended a five-game unbeaten run.
Three players bagged hat-tricks - with Maddi Green and Toni McHamilton both scoring four, and Leah Hardy hitting three - while Faith Horner (2), Lucy Farrow (2), Katie Williams, Rachael Howes and Ella Thompson-Moulding all found the back of the net.
Mitchell said: "The work ethic and attitude they've shown in the second half of the season has been superb - and that bodes well for next year.
"This was a big transitional year and it takes time to settle things down, you've seen the results and performances recently which show that togetherness."
Mitchell also praised the approach of Long Eaton United's players and staff, who battled to the end of the game to conclude a challenging season for them.
He added: "Credit to them as it'd be very easy to not see their games out, and the girls we saw out there for them gave their all and didn't let their heads drop regardless of the score.
"So we've got a lot of respect for them and how they've handled themselves. It's a tough and unforgiving league, but to turn out every week and to play on until the last minute - and they went through the whole game with only 10 players - is something we only have admiration for."
