Mark Kennedy is pleased with the effort his side put in as City drew against MK Dons.
The Imps were close to securing another three points in Sky Bet League One but were pegged back in the final minutes by a deflected effort from a corner on Tuesday evening.
He said: “I felt we had good opportunities to score more. Danny Mandroiu hit the post and Harry Boyes had a good opportunity to score from a header.
“I just can’t compliment the players enough for their efforts and attitudes, especially when you look at how stretched we are at the minute.
“To be heading into March and still unbeaten in the league at home is a phenomenal achievement, so the players deserve a lot of credit for that.”
Lasse Sorensen was brought on for the injured TJ Eyoma at the start of the second half, which is something Kennedy was keen to praise the Dane for who adapted well to the defensive position.
He added: “I thought Lasse was really impressive in that position. His ability to take in detail is good, he is a great athlete and technically solid.
“We thought he would be okay in that position but the main reason we put him there was not to change our shape.
“When we had changed formation in recent games it became a bit of a basketball game, so we felt that we would have more opportunities to get a second goal in the formation we played.”
