The Imps have partnered with UK-based sports manufacturer Oxen who have become the new technical kit provider of Lincoln City.
The initial two-year agreement will see Oxen produce the men’s and women’s playing kits, training and leisurewear from the 23/24 season.
Alongside working closely with the performance department, Oxen will also work closely with the Imps wider community programme to offer exciting new possibilities for the grassroots and education partners that the community trust currently works with.
Full details on the 23/24 kits will be shared with supporters during the summer, along with the full range of training and travel wear.
Oxen work with several high-profile professional UK sports teams, to create instantly recognisable kits and garments worn before, during and after games while using the latest in fabric technology to enhance athletic potential.
City’s long-serving pitch announcer Alan Long featured in the announcement video shared on social media which explained how the partnership reflects on the history of the City, while focusing on an exciting future working together.
Imps chief executive Liam Scully said: “Oxen will allow us to have a fully customisable range across all products which are produced to a high standard in a fair trade manner. They will also be able to work with us to create bespoke ranges for female supporters too.
“As a League One football club that’s growing, it’s really important to us that we have our own identity and we can look to grow the brand.
“We’ve been working closely with Oxen to ensure that our home shirts are on sale earlier than ever before and we look forward to launching it this coming weekend.
“Hopefully when the supporters get to see and feel the items they’ll be pleased both with the designs and the quality as well.
“Oxen are very well respected in their industry and we are very proud and excited to be partnering with them.”
Oxen chief executive Lee Jenkinson explained: “We are delighted to have signed a significant partnership with Lincoln City Football Club.
“We are fully aware of the rich history of the club and are keen to continue to grow the Imps brand over the coming years and respond to the needs of the very passionate fanbase.
“The process for 23/24 began some time ago with the senior staff at the club and the performance department, to ensure that the club had a brand-new look and feel to their ranges for the 23/24 season.
“Having seen the reactions from both at the recent photoshoot, we are confident the ranges for next season will be well received by Imps supporters and we look forward to the reactions in the coming months.
“We are immensely proud to be associated with Lincoln City and look forward to a long and successful partnership.”
