Dylan Duffy’s impressive finish to the season with the Imps has been rewarded with a first call up into the Republic of Ireland’s U21 squad.
The 20-year-old forward made seven appearances for City after his switch from UCD in January, scoring his first goal for the club in April’s impressive win at Wycombe Wanderers.
He is joined in the squad by Imps defender Sean Roughan for the training camp which will be held in Graz, Austria, from Saturday 10 June.
Roughan, who already has two U21 caps to his name, was a regular for the Imps this season with 40 appearances across all competitions.
Jim Crawford’s U21 squad will play three games as part of the camp, taking on Gabon U23 (Tuesday 13 June), Ukraine U21 (Friday 16 June) and Kuwait U21 (Monday 19 June).
These are the Republic’s final games before their European Championship qualifiers in September. They will be strong tests, with Gabon reigning champions in the U23 Africa Cup of Nations and Ukraine preparing for this summer’s European Championship.
