Mide Shodipo is excited by the prospect of experiencing the LNER Stadium atmosphere against Burton Albion.
The 25-year-old recently joined the Imps on loan for the remainder of the season, making his debut at Stadium MK last weekend.
He said: “The atmosphere here was good when I played here with Colchester United a few years ago, and I’m looking forward to getting out there and expressing myself on the pitch.
“I just want to prove myself here by playing games and helping the club. I’m a direct player who likes to run at defenders.
"I want to get the fans off their feet and be as entertaining as I can, but ultimately I love playing the game.”
With three loan moves elsewhere in Sky Bet League One in recent seasons, City’s No. 11 admits moving can be challenging mentally. Despite this, Shodipo insists he has had a positive week in training.
He added: “Moving is always difficult because you eventually have to start again, much like going to a new school.
"You’re in a new environment and meeting new people, but the head coach sold the move to me because he was keen on me for what I can bring.
“The first week has been good for me, getting to know the boys and understanding what the head coach wants. It’s much different to London but I will get used to it and start to settle.”
