Kennedy takes positives from point on the road

Mark Kennedy felt there were plenty of positives to take from his side’s visit to Stadium MK on Saturday.

The Imps shared the spoils with MK Dons as a goalless draw resulted in a point on the road.

Kennedy said: “Any draw away from home is a good point. The positives are we’ve changed our shape, put another body on the front line, and still kept a clean sheet.

“You always want to win games, especially those against teams in and around you, but if you can’t then you must make sure you don’t lose. Collectively and structurally I thought we were excellent and going into two home games, I think it’s a positive result particularly after a tough run of matches.”

City’s head coach was also proud of the work ethic displayed from his side as he described his group as a “pleasure to work with”.

He added: “I want to say a huge well done to the players because the effort they put in is phenomenal.

“They throw their bodies on the line week in and week out. Their statistics physically are through the roof, and they’re all out on their feet in the dressing room and they deserve a whole lot of credit for that, they’re a real pleasure to work with.”
