Mark Kennedy is eager to attack January’s remaining fixtures.
The Imps will take on MK Dons, Burton Albion and Cambridge United before the end of the month, starting with a trip to Stadium MK on Saturday afternoon.
He said: “I think we have got a run of games that we can really attack in terms of the opponents we are playing.
“We have lost to clubs below us this season and done exceptionally well against teams in the top 10.
“I think the league does not allow you to get ahead of yourself and it always keeps you on your toes. It is a tough league and if we are not at our best against anybody, we can become stuck.”
Kennedy was also full of praise for the new MK Dons head coach Mark Jackson who is settling into his first senior managerial position at an EFL club.
He added: “I think Mark is a highly respected person and has joined what looks to me is a fabulous club.
“They have a brilliant identity and philosophy, as well as a stunning stadium. I think Mark will do a superb job there.”
