Mark Kennedy believes his side have something to build on following back-to-back clean sheets.
The Imps were held to a goalless draw against Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon following a hard-earned point at MK Dons in their previous fixture.
He said: “The positives are a clean sheet and we are still unbeaten at home. Defensively, Carl Rushworth had a really quiet day at the office.
“I thought we got the ball into the final third well but our execution in those areas were below standard.”
Kennedy also credited academy graduate Jovon Makama who made his first league appearance at the LNER Stadium this season when he came off the bench.
He added: “I think we have a real talent on our hands with Jovon because of his presence, physicality and pace.”
